Philadelphia

Breakfast/Lunch

Capogiro – Irresistible house-made gelato is the star at Capogiro, but they also offer panini and great coffee.

DiBruno Bros. – Famous for their wide selection of cheeses and Italian specialty products, they also have a ton of dine-in options for lunch or a snack.

Honey’s Sit-N-Eat – Satisfying comfort food with southern flair. Don’t be scared of the line, it’s worth the wait!

Kanella – Greek Cypriot cuisine, great for brunch and a change from standard American fare.

Reading Terminal Market – Great for breakfast and/or lunch! There are so many vendors, you couldn’t possibly visit them all. Old City Coffee brews some of the best coffee in the city. For a taste of Lancaster County, visit the Pennsylvania Dutch merchants (open Wed. – Sat.). For the Philly experience, head to Carmen’s for a cheesesteak or Italian hoagie, or Tommy DiNic’s for a roast pork sandwich.

Dinner

The Continental – Restauranteur Stephen Starr’s spin on 1960s lounges and diners, served tapas style.

Distrito – Celebrity chef Jose Garces’ take on Mexican street food.

Fogo de Chão – A true churrascaria in Center City. Pricey, but worth every penny for a true Brazilian feasting experience.

Good Dog Bar & Restaurant – It may look live a dive, but it’s really all about the food. Get the Good Dog burger, stuffed with gorgonzola.

Oyster House – Head here for happy hour buck-a-shuck, then stay for fantastic seafood entrees.

Sakura Mandarin – When in Chinatown, you’re spoilt for choice. Stick with the Chinese offerings here and you can’t go wrong.

Vietnam – Also in Chinatown, Vietnam Palace and Vietnam Restaurant face one another on 11th street. Vietnam Restaurant is better—significantly so.

Drinking

Dock Street – Dock Street will be served at our wedding. Stop by their location for an always innovative variety of beers and gourmet pizza.

Standard Tap – NoLibs’ standby gastropub.

North Bowl – Bowling, brews, and tater tots, need we say more?

The Burbs

Llanerch Diner – Delaware County’s most reliable diner.

Regency Café – Coffee, pastries, and lunch fare.

Sycamore – Lansdowne’s one true culinary destination, plus it’s BYO!

Walt’s Steaks – There’s no need to go into the city for steaks, Walt’s can equal or best anything in Philadelphia.

Sights

Franklin Institute – Walk through a giant model of the human heart, check out an omnimax movie, and learn about the marvels of science.

Morris Arboretum – Even though it’s within city limits, you’ll feel like you’re miles away from Philadelphia strolling through miles of tree-lined paths.

Penn Museum – The University of Pennsylvania’s museum of anthropology and archaeology.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts - PAFA is the oldest art museum and school in the United States. Come here to see the work of famous American artists from the Revolution to Contemporary times.

Philadelphia Magic Gardens – For a change of pace, check out the magnum opus of Philadelphia outsider artist Isaiah Zagar.

Philadelphia Museum of Art – Any way you look at it, PMA is one of the top museums in the nation, if not the world.
